Basketball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

After flying high against Meigs last Monday, Eastern came back down to earth. The contest between the Eastern Eagles and the Southern Tornadoes didn't end well, with the Eastern Eagles falling 54-40. The Eagles have struggled against the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Southern, they moved to 9-12 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastern will square off against Portsmouth West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern, they will face off against Miller at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southern is facing Miller at the right time seeing as Miller is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
