Football Recap: Jonesboro Piles Up the Points Against Starr's Mill + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Jonesboro took on Starr's Mill on Thursday. The Cardinals really took it to the Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-7 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won six contests by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jonesboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Sharpe, who threw for 171 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Cardinals also got a significant boost from Lucious Murray, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Jonesboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Jonesboro pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games. As for Starr's Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Jonesboro will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Southwest DeKalb at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
