Barry County Christian won the last time they faced Marshall Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Griffons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Barry County Christian took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12.

Avah Lilley paced Barry County Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Lilley got some help from Tori Cramer and her five assists. Lilley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddy Denton, each putting up four.

Barry County Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Marshall Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Barry County Christian has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Libertas Christian on the 4th. Hopefully Marshall Academy paid attention to the Eagles' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
