Soccer Recap: Cedar Crest Comes Up Short

Cedar Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Penn Manor Comets. While losing is never fun, Cedar Crest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Penn Manor are ranked 37th).

Cedar Crest's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Penn Manor, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cedar Crest is set to take on their familiar foe Hempfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Penn Manor will face off against rival Manheim Township at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
