Football Recap: Immaculate Heart Comes Up Short

Immaculate Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 20-6 to the Burroughs Bears.

Burroughs can attribute much of their success to Karisma Mendez, who threw for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Immaculate Heart's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Immaculate Heart is set to face off against their familiar foe Chaminade at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Burroughs will take on rival Rialto at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
