Softball Game Preview: Tara Trojans vs. Episcopal Knights

Tara hasn't had much luck against Episcopal recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will head out to take on the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Tara lost 21-11 to Liberty Magnet on Tuesday.

Tylynn Fleming was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Akera Fusiler, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Episcopal got themselves on the board against Baker on Wednesday, but Baker never followed suit. They blew past the Buffaloes 25-0. Considering the Knights have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Episcopal and bumps their season record up to 9-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.0 runs over those games. As for Tara, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Tara suffered a grim 25-2 defeat to Episcopal in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
