Softball Recap: West Linn Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Linn hadn't done well against Tigard recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Tigers 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meadow Sanborn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Piper Ruthrauff, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

West Linn's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Tigard, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-12.

Looking ahead, West Linn will head out on the road to challenge Silverton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tigard, they will host Aloha at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
