Volleyball Recap: Pueblo Central's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

Pueblo Central lost against Sargent back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Farmers by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Pueblo Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-30, 25-17, 15-13.

Adryanna Rodriguez paced Pueblo Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Rodriguez got some help from Natalie Alfonso and her 18 assists. Finally, Katie Purfield kept Pueblo Central's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Pueblo Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Sargent, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Pueblo Central will welcome Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sargent, they will venture away from home to challenge Nucla at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday.
