Baseball Game Preview: Cisco Loboes vs. De Leon Bearcats

The Cisco Loboes will take on the De Leon Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cisco fell victim to De Leon and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. The Loboes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For De Leon's part, not much got past Trenton Zmeskal, who gave up just seven hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Cisco off the board. Zmeskal has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, De Leon's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brenner Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

De Leon is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. Cisco's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-2.
