Football Game Preview: Charleston vs. East Prairie

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, East Prairie should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Charleston at 7:00 PM. If the contest is anything like the 42-66 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

After flying high against Chaffee two weeks ago, East Prairie came back down to earth. East Prairie have to be aching after a bruising 28-52 loss to Portageville last Friday. East Prairie got a solid performance out of senior Carson Aycock, who passed for 280 yards and 4 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. If you haven't heard Aycock's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.

Meanwhile, Charleston might be getting used to good results now that the squad have five wins in a row. They took down Malden 58-38.

East Prairie suffered a grim 42-66 defeat to Charleston the last time the two teams met. Can East Prairie avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
