Softball Recap: Snohomish Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Snohomish had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-5 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They never let Marysville Getchell get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The result came thanks to Abby Edwards's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Hannah Siegler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Ebia, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs.

As for Marysville Getchell, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. The matchup marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

On Marysville Getchell's side, Aaliyah Shafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks.
