Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers vs. Williamsville Bullets

Mt. Pulaski lost against Williamsville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Bullets by a score of 2-1. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mt. Pulaski sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 28-30, 25-14.

Olivia Smith paced Mt. Pulaski's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Alyson Murphy and her 23 assists. Audrey Cooper controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Williamsville to victory were Elyse Kunz and Quinn Bandy. Kunz had 13 digs, while Bandy had seven digs and five assists.

Mt. Pulaski's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Williamsville, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mt. Pulaski wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 3rd. As for Williamsville, they will challenge Hartsburg-Emden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
