Football Recap: Oologah Mustangs vs. Fort Gibson Tigers
After soaring to 36 points the game before, Oologah was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against the Fort Gibson Tigers, falling 49-7. The Mustangs lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 36-32 score last time.
Fort Gibson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karrson Davis out in front who threw for 323 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Those 323 passing yards gave Davis a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Corey Hutton, who rushed for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Oologah now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Fort Gibson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
