Cherokee has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to challenge the Robbinsville Black Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robbinsville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cherokee, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Cherokee didn't have too much trouble with Mount Zion Christian Academy at home as they won 54-40.

Brandon Santiago was his usual excellent self, rushing for 195 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Saylor, who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.

Meanwhile, Robbinsville fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Trion on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Cherokee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Robbinsville, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Cherokee was dealt a bruising 46-6 defeat at the hands of Robbinsville in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Thankfully for Cherokee, Cuttler Adams (who rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
