Softball Recap: Northland Prep Academy Beats Hopi for Their Third Straight Victory

Northland Prep Academy won against Ash Fork/Seligman last Wednesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Northland Prep Academy blew past the Hopi Bruins 18-6. The victory was just business as usual for the Spartans, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Audre Wilson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lauren Frate was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Alana Begay Clark was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Northland Prep Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Hopi, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Northland Prep Academy will take on Red Rock at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopi, they will square off against Greyhills Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give Hopi their first taste of in-conference action this season.
