J.H. Rose entered their tilt with New Bern on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Bears 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rampants also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
One reason for the win was J.H. Rose's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.
Kate Wallen paced J.H. Rose's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wallen got some help from Campbell Rhodes and her 19 assists. Caroline Bayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
J.H. Rose's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for New Bern, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
