Malcolm is 3-0 against Ralston since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Malcolm Clippers will head out to square off against the Ralston Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Malcolm and 33 for Ralston dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, Malcolm came up short against Pender and fell 62-52. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Pendragons are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Ralston played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 58-22 loss at the hands of Conestoga. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-7.

Malcolm will have to contain Lilly Elsasser as she made an impact in Ralston's last game. She posted six points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Elsasser a new career-high in boards.

Ralston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Malcolm, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything came up roses for Malcolm against Ralston in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-14 win. In that matchup, Malcolm amassed a halftime lead of 40-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
