Softball Recap: Ponaganset Chieftains vs. St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals

Ponaganset played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals. The Chieftains' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mattea Mello made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Mello was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
