Softball Recap: St. Mary's Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millington, St. Mary's Prep was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dakota Cougars 9-7. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eaglets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The win got St. Mary's Prep back to even at 9-9-1. As for Dakota, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's Prep will welcome Yale at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dakota, they are taking a road trip to square off against Beal City at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. The Aggies are coming into the matchup with ten straight defeats at home, meaning the Cougars will have to defend against a squad out to give their home crowd a much needed win.
