Basketball Game Preview: Forest Bearcats vs. Pelahatchie Chiefs

The Forest Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Pelahatchie Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Forest will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 35-point drubbing they dealt Raleigh on Tuesday. Forest took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-21 victory over Raleigh. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Bearcats this season.

Meanwhile, Pelahatchie entered their tilt with Pearl on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 46-38. That's two games straight that the Chiefs have won by exactly eight points.

Forest's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pelahatchie, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Forest didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pelahatchie when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 36-32 victory.
