Baseball Game Preview: Crestwood Red Devils vs. Wickliffe Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Crestwood will face off against Wickliffe. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crestwood is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Crestwood came up short against Wickliffe on Tuesday, falling 11-5.

For Wickliffe's part, Frankie Bucar was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Bucar was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with five RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Wickliffe got a big performance out of Gio Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Martinez has posted since back in April of 2025. Max Andrasak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Wickliffe has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.5 runs this season. As for Crestwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
