Softball Recap: Cedar Grove-Belgium Comes Up Short

If Cedar Grove-Belgium was feeling good fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Sheboygan South on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets came up short against the Oostburg Flying Dutchmen on Thursday, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flying Dutchmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-18 last Tuesday.

Cedar Grove-Belgium's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oostburg, their record is now 4-2.

Looking ahead, Cedar Grove-Belgium will square off against Hilbert at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.88 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oostburg, they will take on Manitowoc Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
