Baseball Recap: Bedford North Lawrence Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bedford North Lawrence entered their tilt with Shakamak on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Lakers. The Stars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lakers, too.

Bedford North Lawrence let Cal Gates and Jaden Gilbert run wild. Gates went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Gilbert went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Gilbert a new career-high. Tyler Stigall was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bedford North Lawrence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
