Basketball Game Preview: Valley Lutheran Flames vs. Superior Panthers

The Valley Lutheran Flames will head out on the road to square off against the Superior Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Superior took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Valley Lutheran, who comes in off a win.

Valley Lutheran took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed by San Manuel to the tune of 54-26. The Flames have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Superior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Hayden and fell 64-26. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Valley Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything came up roses for Valley Lutheran against Superior in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 78-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
