Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots vs. Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors
Calvary Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors 73-32. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-34 back in November of 2024.
Mount Hope Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was MCKENNA JONES out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. That's the most points JONES has posted since back in November of 2024. LANDRI FLOHR was another key player, going 7 of 15 on her way to 19 points along with eight assists and six steals.
Calvary Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
