Basketball Recap: Rice Takes a Loss

Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 77-31 defeat at the hands of the Keene Chargers . While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1262nd, while the Chargers are ranked 441st).

Rice's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Keene, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Rice will venture away from home to take on Grandview at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keene, they will host Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keene is on a four-game streak of home wins, Palmer a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
