Football Game Preview: Hardee Wildcats vs. DeSoto County Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Hardee Wildcats will challenge the DeSoto County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hardee will be strutting in after a victory while DeSoto County will be coming in after a loss.

Hardee took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They snuck past North Port with a 29-25 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Dariyon Watson and David Howell. Watson rushed for 218 yards while picking up 11.5 yards per carry while Howell rushed for 113 yards on only 12 carries. Watson's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.

Hardee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, DeSoto County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Lake Placid 42-0.

Hardee's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for DeSoto County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Hardee against DeSoto County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-0 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
