Football Game Preview: Layton Christian Academy Eagles vs. Victor Valley Jackrabbits

The Layton Christian Academy Eagles will challenge the Victor Valley Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Layton Christian Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Layton Christian Academy relied on the efforts of Chris Munroe, who rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and Trevor Halalilo, who gained 330 total yards and three touchdowns. Halalilo's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 125 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Layton Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 526 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Layton Christian Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 226.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Victor Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 178.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
