South Fork waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Ferndale Wildcats with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Molly Perkins was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs.

South Fork always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferndale only posted an OBP of .321.

South Fork's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Ferndale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

South Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-10 win against Eureka on the 21st. As for Ferndale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-8 victory against St. Bernard's on the 24th.
