Baseball Recap: Childress Wins Going Away Against River Road

It was a proper cat-fight when Childress duked it out with River Road on Tuesday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Childress let Drake Rabe and Logan Oldham run wild. Rabe went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Oldham went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Oldham a new career-high. Cooper Sides also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Childress always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Road only posted an OBP of .348.

Childress' victory bumped their record up to 12-10-1. As for River Road, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Coincidentally, Childress and River Road will both be playing Dalhart the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bobcats will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
