Softball Recap: Milaca Takes a Loss

Milaca was the 6-4 winner over Little Falls when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Megan Meixell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Milaca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Roehl, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Milaca's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Little Falls, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.

Milaca has already played their next match, a 7-1 defeat against Albany on the 15th. As for Little Falls, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 win against Detroit Lakes on the 15th.
