Soccer Recap: Rochester Wins Going Away Against Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M

With a playoff win on the line, Rochester rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M Hawks with a sharp 8-0 victory. Rochester's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

Their offense was hitting Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Mary Jane Keller led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Rochester now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-7.

Coming up, Rochester will challenge Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Springfield will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Rochester surely won't give up without a fight. Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
