Softball Recap: Simi Valley Finds Home Field Redemption Against Grace

There's no place like home for Simi Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Grace Lancers 10-1 on Thursday. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 win the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Parker Ong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Arianna Ochoa, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Leah Ortega-Vasquez, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
