Soccer Game Preview: Oneonta vs. New Hope

The Oneonta Redskins are taking a road trip to square off against the New Hope Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oneonta has given up an average of 2.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Oneonta came up short against Thompson on Tuesday, falling 11-1. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Warriors are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, New Hope was forced to settle for a draw. They and Columbia finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

With that draw, New Hope's record moves to 8-4-1. As for Oneonta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
