Softball Recap: Archbishop McNicholas Triumphs

Archbishop McNicholas won the last time they faced Bishop Brossart and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rockets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Lucy Laudeman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Reuss, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Laudeman wasn't the only one making solid contact: Archbishop McNicholas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Rockets are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Archbishop McNicholas back to even at 3-3. As for Bishop Brossart, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop McNicholas will host Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Bishop Brossart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
