Volleyball Recap: Wahconah Regional Warriors vs. Ursuline Academy Bears

They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ursuline Academy Bears on Tuesday. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 25-21 in the first set.

Wahconah Regional started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18.

Taea Cunagin paced Wahconah Regional's offense, picking up 13 kills. Cunagin got some help from Melaina Haczela and her 28 assists. Alexandra Rougeau and Emma Jacinto kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

Rowan Luber was nothing short of spectacular for Ursuline Academy: she had 31 digs and two aces. What's more, Luber posted five assists, the most she's had since back in October.

Wahconah Regional's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Ursuline Academy, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
