Softball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Has No Trouble Against Bradley Central

Boyd-Buchanan got themselves on the board against Bradley Central on Saturday, but Bradley Central never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bears. The Buccaneers have beaten the Bears the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.

Peyton Schwieter looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jayde Sims was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Peyton Pryor was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Boyd-Buchanan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .360 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
