Baseball Game Preview: Denver South Ravens vs. Golden Demons

The Denver South Ravens will square off against the Golden Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Denver South beat Littleton 9-4.

Meanwhile, Golden waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 5-2.

Golden got a great performance from Sawyer Brinkman as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Brinkman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaydon Stroup, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Luca Casali, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Golden lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March.

Golden pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Denver South, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4.
