Flag Football Game Preview: Heritage Eagles vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The Heritage Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage's offense hasn't had much luck over their past 12 matchups, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Heritage came up short against Rock Canyon and fell 19-7.

Despite the defeat, Heritage saw an underclassman step up: freshman Adalie Seibel picked up 98 receiving yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Heritage's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Phoebe Hudson was especially locked on to Rock Canyon's QB and sacked her three times. Hudson is crushing it when it comes to sacks: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain Vista got themselves on the board against Regis Jesuit on Tuesday, but Regis Jesuit never followed suit. They blew past the Raiders, posting a 55-0 victory. Fans of the Golden Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Mountain Vista's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Heritage took a serious blow against Mountain Vista in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 37-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Golden Eagles' Ariana Akey, who threw for 302 yards and six touchdowns, and also rushed for 76 yards on only five carries. Now that the Eagles know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
