Scottsdale Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the San Miguel Vipers a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit San Miguel with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adison Lafluer, Giana Boffo, and Lily Rucker.

Scottsdale Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 51 goals over those nine matches. As for San Miguel, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Scottsdale Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Scottsdale Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. San Miguel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
