Volleyball Game Preview: San Mateo Bearcats vs. Lowell Cardinals

San Mateo is 0-3 against Lowell since March of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as San Mateo Bearcats take on Lowell Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

San Mateo came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Carlmont. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since March 4th.

While San Mateo was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Lowell entered their tilt with Galileo on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lions.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 28-30, 26-24, 25-16, 20-18.

San Mateo now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Lowell, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
