Keller Central's win ends three-game losing streak at home

Recap: Keller Central Chargers vs. Byron Nelson Bobcat

Even though the Keller Central Chargers have not done well against the Byron Nelson Bobcat recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Keller Central had just enough and edged Byron Nelson out 57-54. The win was all the more spectacular given Keller Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Byron Nelson is ranked 155th).

Jordan Blair continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Mays, who scored 11 points.

Keller Central's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. As for Byron Nelson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Keller Central will head out on the road to face off against Fossil Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byron Nelson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. Southlake Carroll is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
