Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Delone Catholic

Delone Catholic entered their tilt with Bermudian Springs on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-4. This was a revenge game for the Squires: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 15-10 defeat.

Adyson Hummer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

On the hitting side, Teagan Funkhouser was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Claire McMaster, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Delone Catholic's record now sits at 4-7. As for Bermudian Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delone Catholic will square off against Eastern York at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bermudian Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge Camp Hill at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
