The Beaufort Academy Eagles will head out to take on the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Andrew Jackson Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Beaufort Academy, who comes in off a win.
Beaufort Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Battery Creek, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles blew past the Dolphins 17-0 on Thursday. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Tucker Scoggins was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Keeler Dineen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Beaufort Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Beaufort Academy, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Beaufort Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Andrew Jackson Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts.
