Softball Recap: Clements Comes Up Short

Clements lost to Colbert County back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts lost 19-4 to the Indians. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clements saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyten Burks, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those doubles were Burks' first of the season. Another was Hayslee DuBose, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Clements now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Colbert County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Clements will host Lauderdale County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colbert County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Red Bay at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
