Bunnell hasn't had much luck against Masuk recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host the Panthers at 4:15 p.m.
Bunnell had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but New Milford put an end to it on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell 5-1 to the Green Wave.

Bunnell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Sedlock, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Sedlock has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Masuk faced North Branford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Thunderbirds 11-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Julia Bacoulis made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Bacoulis was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Masuk let Grace Ely and Josie Lieto run wild. Ely went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Lieto went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Lieto has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Castillo, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Masuk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matches.
Bunnell's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Masuk, they pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the win, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bunnell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Masuk struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bunnell suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Masuk in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
