Volleyball Recap: Ryan Extends Winning Streak to Five

Ryan had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Saginaw Rough Riders by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Ryan easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13.

Ryan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abigail Vasquez, who had 13 digs and one assist. Vasquez has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 15 times she's played.

Ryan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Ryan's record is now 5-1. As for Saginaw, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ryan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Keller Central on the 15th. As for Saginaw, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Temple on the 15th.
