Football Recap: Benjamin Franklin Comes Up Short

Benjamin Franklin extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the Green Street Academy Chargers, falling 26-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bayhawks of the 36-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Green Street Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Sean Watts had a dynamite game, rushing for 207 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, while also catching one TD. Those 207 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Benjamin Franklin will face off against Lake Clifton at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Green Street Academy, they will challenge Edmondson-Westside at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
