Baseball Recap: Haynes Academy Falls Short of Loyola College Prep in the Playoffs

Haynes Academy and Loyola College Prep squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Haynes Academy had to settle for second. They lost 12-4 to the Flyers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Loyola College Prep this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Tuesday.

Haynes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Loyola College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10-1 record this season.

Haynes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loyola College Prep, they will face off against Archbishop Hannan on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight.
