Diboll had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Marshall Mavericks 11-9.

Diboll's victory bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Diboll has already played their next match, a 7-0 loss against Rusk on the 8th. As for Marshall, they will square off against Nacogdoches at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
